【Announcement】Deepening local tourism, Penghu Good Travel promotes community tours for the Ma Gong Hu Xi Line
The Ma Gong Hu Xi Line of Penghu Good Travel was launched on July 1, 109 (2020). The Penghu County Government, in collaboration with local cultural resources, continues to create distinctive features for the route. Starting from January of this year, the line has transformed into a community tour with the cooperation of Longmen Village, Nanliao Village, and Guoye Village in Hu Xi Township. To express gratitude for the active participation of the local communities in providing tour services, Penghu County Magistrate Lai Feng-Wei presented appreciation medals on the 11th, recognizing the dedication of the three communities in promoting local cultural tourism and sharing fascinating local stories to deepen the cultural and tourism significance.
County Magistrate Lai Feng-Wei stated that Hu Xi Township possesses rich cultural and historical heritage, as well as tourist attractions that are worth promoting. He expressed his gratitude to the Longmen, Nanliao, and Guoye communities for their unity and voluntary participation in the community tour, helping visitors gain a deeper understanding of the local characteristics and successfully promoting Hu Xi. The county government hopes to collaborate with more communities and strive to develop more community-based tourism models. The Tourism Department stated that the success of the Longmen community in operating the Longmen Closed Fort has inspired other communities to join the community-based tour. Starting from January 2022, the Ma Gong Hu Xi Line has fully transitioned to community-led local tours, including the "Longmen Closed Fort," "Nanliao Community," and "Guoye Ash Kiln." Each community provides tour services, and the Tourism Department is also conducting tour guide training programs to enhance tour interpretation skills and service quality. Furthermore, the Tourism Department plans to establish a tourism information station at the Guoye Ash Kiln. Following the model of the Longmen Closed Fort, the community team will be stationed there to provide interpretation services. Additional seating will be installed in the surrounding areas and along the seawall to create a friendly tourism environment. The department hopes to collaborate with the county government and the communities to continuously inventory resources, discover more fascinating local stories, and share them with residents, visitors, and friends. Through this collaborative approach, they aim to create a sustainable community-based tourism reception service. |
